sistah. red velvet. roadtrip. mini me. grampy with newborn me.
yes, i am well aware that i slightly disappeared from the world for a week
and hid away where no one could find me.
well okay, lots of people could find me.
because technically i wasnt hiding.
i wont even begin to bore you with the uneventfulness that has been our life lately.
but i did however go see my family for four days last week and it was wonderful.
dance parties with my lovely sister always seem to be the cure for everything.
and guess what? i'm headed up to oregon come this thursday.
booooyaaaahhh.
i cannot wait, i love me some portland.
and my mama.
seriously.
but now for the real purpose of this post.
i hadn't seem my amanda friend for quite sometime.
{we both are busy ladies, ok?}
thursday morning i had a slight epiphany that i needed a "happy hour"
and asked if she'd like to join me for some girlfriend time.
little did she know, i was serious about this "happy hour."
chili's. 3 dollar appetizers. best friend.
seriously, is there anything not happy about that hour concoction?
now if i did consume alcohol, obviously those margharitas would have
made an appearance.
but thats a no go for me sir. yuck.
and guess what? that hour was a great hour.
and i decided that "happy hour" should probably be a weekly tradition.
{we wont talk about the silly questions i asked the server.
clearly, i had never been to happy hour before.}
but i encourage you friends to take your best friend by the han
{ignore the looks you might get}
and go get your happy hour on!
another weekly tradition i discovered?
how about $12 pedicures with a free hand and arm massage at your local
paul mitchell beauty school?
yep, that just happened.
my toes are happy.

ReplyDeletewe moved here for my husband to go to mortuary school, and because it's AWESOME! we love love love it! we tried to move here a year ago, for NO job prospects, and we couldn't do it, a year later we re-visited the idea and we're blessed to find jobs rather quickly. so that's why we're here. why did you guys back out?
My boyfriend and I had a little date at Chili's... it's just fun there! Sounds like you had a wonderful time!
